Available in Classic and VPC

Object Storage is a NAVER Cloud Platform service that allows you to store and manage data on the internet. Object Storage provides a CLI for managing buckets and objects using the aws command, which is compatible with the Amazon S3 CLI.

Common Object Storage settings

This section describes how to install and authenticate the Object Storage CLI, as well as the common commands and option formats.

installation

To use the Object Storage CLI, install the AWS CLI. The installation command is as follows:

pip install awscli==1.15.85
Note
  • Since awscli versions 1.16.x and later do not support certain features, we recommend using version 1.15.x.
  • AWS CLI version 1.15.85 works with Python 3.8 or earlier.
  • For related resources, see the following:

Certification

The command to configure your credentials is as follows:

aws configure

When you run the command, enter the following items in order.

AWS Access Key ID [****************leLy]: {access_key_id}
AWS Secret Access Key [None]: {secret_key}
Default region name [None]: [Enter]
Default output format [None]: [Enter]
Note
  • For access_key_id and secret_key, use the API authentication key created by referring to Ncloud API.

  • Servers assigned a role can use Object Storage commands without any additional authentication configuration. In this case, since the Metadata API’s Get authentication key API is used, timeouts may occur; you can extend the timeout using the following command.

    export AWS_METADATA_SERVICE_TIMEOUT=10

Syntax

Run aws using the following syntax.

aws s3 <subcommand> [options] --endpoint-url <endpoint-url>
aws s3api <subcommand> [options] --endpoint-url <endpoint-url>

s3 is a high-level command optimized for file-level jobs, while s3api is an API-level command that corresponds one-to-one with the Object Storage API.

The command to view help is as follows:

aws help
aws <command> help
aws <command> <subcommand> help
